Lebanese dance group Mayas is successful in America, 'Words are not available'

 Lebanese dance group Mayaz has surprised everyone by winning the 'America's Got Talent' season 17 competition.

  According to Arab News, as the victory was announced at the event, the fans clapped their hands and threw colorful ribbons in the air while the members of Mayas were seen doing a jump that was full of excitement.

The winning team will also receive $1 million.

The second prize went to 'Christy Sellers' while the third went to 'Drake Milligan', while 'Metaphysics' took fourth and 'Chapelheart' took fifth.

As the final performance, all the groups performed together for 80 seconds, to the delight of the audience.

After the group won the contest, Sofia Vergara tweeted, "I'm so proud of you, you deserved it."

During the competition, the Mayaz group, dressed in white, performed on Arabic tunes.

 Meanwhile, there were spectators in the hall who were holding up the Lebanese flag and cheering the group.

As the group finished the performance, all four judges, including Vergara, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mendel, stood up and gave a standing ovation.

As the applause subsided, Vergara was the first to utter the phrase, "Great."

Vergara is the one who gave Mayaz the golden buzzer at the auditions in June.

On this occasion, Klum said, "It's great, you've done great every time, but tonight was A Plus."

"It's amazing to me," Coville said.

The fourth judge, Mendel, expressed his views, "This was my favorite of all the performances on America's Got Talent so far."

Since winning the Golden Buzzer, the group has been receiving strong support from Lebanese fans, with the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International launching a campaign with the slogan 'Karmalek Ya Lebanon', meaning 'Lebanon for you'. The goal was to motivate the group.

The Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International worked with radio and TV as well as social media and Saudi media platforms in the US for the campaign.

In an interview with Arab News, the choreographer of the group, Nadeem Cherfan, said that "Lebanese people around the world showed their full support."

According to him, "We got a lot of messages, everyone was supporting Mayaz, so I am grateful to all those who brought Mayaz to this point."

It is also noteworthy that Mayas was supported not only by ordinary citizens but also by important celebrities.

Lebanese singer Maya Diab wrote on Instagram "I pray you return with the title, you have made Lebanon famous through your art, we love you and are proud of you."

Similarly, superstar Haifa Wehbi also supported the group.

"Mayaz has surprised the judges and fans with his brilliant performance, keep voting for him."

Dubai-based Lebanese celebrity Karen Wizen shared Mayaz's previous performance on social media and wrote, "I have no words to express my appreciation."

This was not the first talent show for Mayas but the group has performed on notable platforms before.

Cherfan was only 14 years old when he developed a passion for dance, formed a group and participated in 'Arab's Got Talent', despite being new to the field, the group surprised the judge, Lebanese singer Najwa Karam and The event was named after him.
