Washington: More than a thousand journalists of the American newspaper New York Times have refused to return to their offices, threatening that they will go on strike if the demands of the union are not met.

"We want to remind the company that it cannot completely change our working hours, so employees will continue to work from anywhere," the union wrote in its letter.
The letter, signed by 1,300 New York Times employees, was first reported by The Daily Beast.
It should be noted that the New York Times has recently seen a significant increase in its subscribers in the era of the Corona virus, while in April the newspaper appointed Joe Kahn as its new executive editor.
