Poor performance, further decline in Babar Azam's T20 rankings

 Pakistan cricket team captain and star batsman Babar Azam has slipped down one more rank to fourth place in the ICCT20 rankings.

According to the details released by the ICC on Wednesday, Indian batsman Surya Kumar Yadav has deprived the Pakistani captain of his third position by scoring 46 runs in the match against Australia yesterday.

Babar Azam dropped to the third position last week after a continuous poor performance in the Yeshiya Cup. He was replaced by South African batsman Eden Markram.

Earlier, Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan had snatched the first position from Babar.

In the first T20 match against England on Tuesday, Babar Azam was dismissed for just 31 runs.

In the list of T20 batsmen, Mohammad Rizwan is first, South Africa's Eden Markram is second, Indian Surya Kumar Yadav is third, Babar Azam is fourth and England's David Mullan is at fifth place.

Australian captain Aaron Finch is sixth, New Zealand batsman David Conway is seventh, Sri Lanka's Patham Nishanka is eighth, UAE's Mohammad Wasim is ninth and South Africa's Reza Hendricks is 10th.

India's star batsman Virat Kohli, who showed a good performance in the Asia Cup, who fell from 33rd to 15th in the T20 rankings, also suffered the loss of two runs yesterday and is now at 16th.
