The German Chancellor met with the President of the Emirates in Abu Dhabi

 The President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has welcomed the German Chancellor Olaf Schalz in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

According to Emirates Daily, the President of the Emirates welcomed the German Chancellor at Al Shaati Palace and expressed good wishes for the sustainable development and prosperity of the friendly country Germany and its people.

The two leaders reviewed the opportunities and dimensions of cooperation for the consolidation of comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries during the next phase. A new strategy of strong cooperation in the fields of economy, investment, trade, renewable energy, food security, science and advanced technology was discussed.

Apart from this, joint efforts regarding the solution of climate change problems, environmental protection have also been reviewed.

The Emirati President and the German Chancellor discussed the current regional and international situation and various issues. Have discussed points of view on issues of mutual interest.

The two leaders expressed their belief that various problems and crises can be resolved by focusing on cooperation, dialogue and diplomatic solutions. This is the right way to ensure a bright future, political stability and economic development for the present and future generations.

The two leaders also expressed their desire to work together to further improve mutual relations by building on the achievements of the past years.

The UAE and Germany agreed on the importance of the Conference of Parties to the UN Climate Change Agreement 'COB-28'. The Emirates will host the conference next year.

An economic delegation has also met with the German Chancellor and the Emirati President and officials.

"The UAE has a close friendship and strategic partnership with the Federal Republic of Germany. Today I am meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Schaals to explore further opportunities for cooperation in the areas of energy security, pollution reduction and climate change," the UAE President tweeted. According to Arab News, the United Arab Emirates has agreed to supply natural gas and diesel to Germany under the Energy Security Deal during the German Chancellor's visit.
