According to the Urgent website, in the first round, the Iraqi parliament failed to elect the president. The second round was held on Thursday, October 13, 2022, in which voting took place between Abdul Latif Rasheed and Braham Saleh for the post of President.

According to newspaper 24, 162 members of parliament voted in favor of Abdul Latif Rasheed, while 99 votes were cast in favor of Braham Saleh. Whose term of presidency has been completed. 8 votes were declared invalid.
