Attack on a mosque in India, 'they threatened to kill the worshipers'

 A group of about 200 people attacked a mosque and tortured worshipers in a village near the northern Indian city of Gurugram.

According to Indian channel NDTV, the attack on the mosque took place on Wednesday morning when a group of around 200 people led by Rajesh Chauhan, Anil Bhadoria and Sanjay Vyas stormed into a mosque and chased worshipers from the village. Also threaten to eviction.

According to the police, a case was registered on Thursday regarding the incident in Bhura Kalan village, but no arrests were made till last night. The case of the attack on the mosque has been registered in the complaint of a person named Subidar Nazr Muhammad.

According to the report, only four Muslim families are living in this village of Gurugram. In the complaint filed by Nazr Muhammad, the police was told that 'when we were worshiping in the hall of the mosque, a group of people came, tortured the worshipers and also locked the hall.'

The complainant says that they threatened to kill the worshippers.

Police officials say that they have found a mobile phone from the mosque which may be owned by one of the attackers.

Gajinder Singh, a police officer posted in the area, says that 'according to the complaint, an FIR has been registered and verification of the facts is in progress.'

He said that the incident will be investigated and action will be taken according to law.
