Cheetah helicopter of Indian Army crashes in Arunachal Pradesh, pilot killed

 An Indian Army Cheetah helicopter has crashed, killing one pilot and injuring another.

Indian NDTV quoted the military as saying that the helicopter crashed in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh around 10 am on Wednesday.

The helicopter was on a routine flight with two pilots on board.

After the accident, both the pilots were shifted to a nearby military hospital, but the pilot, Lt. Col. Saurabh Yadav, did not survive, while the co-pilot is undergoing medical treatment.

According to the statement of the Indian Army, the reason for the crash of the helicopter is not yet known. Efforts are being made to find out its details.

It should be remembered that earlier in March this year, a helicopter crashed near the Line of Control in the Kashmir Valley. In this accident too, the pilot was killed while the co-pilot was seriously injured.

In December last year, Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat along with his wife and 12 others died in an Air Force helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu.
