Indian fighter jets moved on the news of a bomb in an Iranian airline flight

Indian Air Force fighter jets were scrambled on Monday after a bomb was reported on an airline flight from Iran.

According to the Reuters news agency, the Indian Air Force said in a statement on Monday that it later received a message from the Iranian capital Tehran to ignore the bomb report, after which the flight continued on its way to its destination.

According to the statement, Air Force fighter jets chased the flight from a safe distance and it was offered to land at two airports in northwestern India.

However, the pilot refused to divert the plane to both airports.

Iranian news agency Mehr has said that the Delhi Police received a message regarding the presence of a bomb on an Iranian airline plane at 9:20 today and the pilot of the plane requested an emergency landing at the New Delhi airport.

According to data available on FlightReviews24, Mahan Air Flight W581 was a flight from Tehran to Guangzhou, China. In the meantime, the said plane circled several times in the Indian airspace west of Delhi. However, the plane later crossed the Indian airspace and entered Myanmar.
