New Delhi: Order to fill petrol only in non-polluting vehicles

The government of the Indian capital New Delhi has issued orders to control air pollution in the city.

According to Indian media, the Delhi government on Wednesday issued an order for petrol pumps, which only requires owners of vehicles with pollution-under-control certificates to fill petrol.

The Transport Department of New Delhi has also issued a notification in this regard, in which the petrol pumps have been instructed to check the vehicles of the vehicle owners who have the Plution Under Control Certificate for more than one year.

The transport department has issued instructions to the citizens to obtain this certificate before October 25, otherwise the vehicles not having the certificate will face a fine of Rs 10,000, three months imprisonment or both.

On the other hand, the Environment Department of India is also considering issuing certificates to all petrol pumps dealers in this regard, in which diesel and CNG pumps will also be ordered to provide service to vehicles having pollution under control certificates.
