 Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khatib has said that the number of tourists in Saudi Arabia is expected to increase by 300% by 2030.

He was speaking at the Future Investment Initiative Forum in the capital Riyadh on Tuesday.

Apart from this, in an interview with Al-Arabiya channel, Ahmad Al-Khatib said that 'tourist packages are being offered in Jeddah, Riyadh and the Eastern Region. Riyadh season is an example of this.

He said that the Ministry of Tourism has created historical records during the current year. Up to 65 million visitors arrive in the tourist season. The country has the first position in the G20 in terms of dealing with the Corona epidemic. A growth rate of 121 percent has been recorded.

 Ahmad Al-Khatib said that the tourism sector has returned to normal by 60% during 2022 compared to 2019. 200 million jobs have been restored. During the epidemic, 60 thousand people lost their jobs.

He said that the tourism sector is trying to make its share in the gross national product reach ten percent. Saudi Arabia should become the most important tourist center of the world.

Tourism Minister said that we have reached half way now. A lot of achievements have been achieved which are bringing the kingdom to the top of the most favorite tourist destinations.

We have the Red Sea, mountains, unique culture and colorful cities. They are trying to make Riyadh the top in terms of tourism.
