Sri Lanka's Lanka Premier League (LPL) has appointed former national team captain and king of swing Wasim Akram as the brand ambassador for the third edition of the league along with former Sri Lankan captain Santh Jayasuriya.
Wasim Akram expressed his happiness on being appointed as LPL ambassador and said that he has always received love and affection from Sri Lankan fans, Sri Lanka is getting good players from LPL which we can see in Asia Cup as well. .
The former Pakistan captain said that I have seen the matches and their quality in the last two editions of LPL and I hope that the quality of cricket will be maintained in the third edition of LPL as well.
It should be noted that Wasim Akram took 916 wickets in his international career while Santh Jayasuriya took 20 thousand runs and 440 wickets during his career, both cricketers were considered among the best players of their time.
