Christchurch mosque attack suspect appeals sentence

The New Zealand court sentenced the criminal to life imprisonment after being found guilty, the suspect who entered the mosques of Christchurch and opened fire, resulting in the death of 51 Muslims.
According to local New Zealand media, the accused has filed an application at the Court of Appeal in Wellington, which has not yet been scheduled for hearing.
The 29-year-old killer was convicted in August 2020 of the worst mass shooting in New Zealand's history, making it the first time in New Zealand's history that someone has been sentenced to life in prison.
