The US has decided to increase natural gas deliveries to its European allies to meet their energy needs.
According to Arab News, most of the American gas will go to France, Great Britain, Spain and the Netherlands.
The US Department of Energy's Brad Crabtree said during a briefing on Monday that the gas export is part of a long-term plan to help EU members.

Crabtree said that US LNG exports reached 122 billion cubic meters per year in March this year. LNG exports will reach 132 billion cubic meters by the end of this year, 153 billion cubic meters by 2024 and 204 billion cubic meters by the end of this decade.
"We stand ready to do everything we can over the next few years to ensure global energy security." And in this context, I will try to remove the concerns arising in Europe.
In the summer of this year, European countries faced difficulties in ensuring the delivery of natural gas due to the war in Ukraine. However, European countries were able to mitigate the economic and political impact of gas shortages caused by the war in Ukraine due to large quantities of natural gas shipments from the United States.
Crabtree said that the US government is not shying away from the help of its allies, but the government has approved the export of gas four times more than the current supply.
He said the US government has approved four applications to export US gas from the Gulf Coast and has also completed environmental assessments of two terminals in Mexico, which will increase gas exports.
