Holding Midterm Elections Good Day for Democracy: President Joe Biden

US President Joe Biden has said that holding the mid-term elections was a good day for democracy.

According to the American channel CNN, during a press conference at the White House on Wednesday, US President Joe Biden said that the results of the elections are a sign that American democracy is intact and safe despite being threatened for the past several years.

"Yesterday was Election Day," President Joe Biden said. And it was a good day, I think, for democracy.
He said that "in recent years, our democracy has gone through trials, but the people of America have proven by voting that democracy is what we are."

He added that while the press and analysts were predicting a 'red wave', nothing like that happened.

The symbol of the Republican Party in the United States is red.

"Losing any seat is painful, we have lost fewer seats in any first mid-term election in the last 40 years and it was the best mid-term election for Gooners since 1986," he said.

US President Joe Biden said that when he returns from his foreign trip, he will invite leaders of both political parties in Congress to the White House to discuss where and how they can work together.

He said that he is ready to work with elected Republicans on various issues. "I think the American people have made it clear that they expect Republicans to be willing to work with me."
