Missile attacks on other Ukrainian cities including Kiev, Russia, power crisis

Russia has launched missile attacks on several cities, including the capital of Ukraine, Kiev, causing a power crisis.

According to the French news agency AFP, officials say that in addition to Kiev, Lviv and Kharkiv were also bombed on Tuesday.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said air raid sirens went off in several regions of Ukraine and half of Kiev's population lost power.

So far, one person has been killed in these attacks.

He said that according to initial reports, two residential buildings were bombed, while the air defense system destroyed several Russian missiles.

The deputy head of the office of the Ukrainian president, Kyrillo Tymoshenko, said that these missile attacks were carried out by Russia. He also shared a video of an affected building.

He said that the danger is not over yet and people should stay in shelters.

The Deputy Head said that "Russian terrorists have attacked the energy infrastructure as planned. The situation is very alarming. The situation in the capital is much worse.

The attack came as the Ukrainian president told the G20 summit that "the time has come to end Russia's destructive war and save thousands of lives."

"I believe that now is the time when Russia's destructive war must and can be stopped," the Ukrainian president said in a video address from the G20 summit in Indonesia on Tuesday.

According to AFP, the United States and its allies will pressure Russia to end the Ukraine war at the G20 summit.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has warned that Ukraine could face difficulties in the coming months and should not misjudge Russia's military capabilities.
