More than 2.2 million Saudis in the private sector, 'this is a record'

 Saudi Minister of Manpower and Social Welfare Engineer Ahmed Al-Rajhi has said that "more than 2.2 million Saudi youth are working in private sector companies and institutions and this is a record."

According to Akaz newspaper, the Saudi Minister of Manpower, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, said that before the Saudi Vision 2030, the participation rate of Saudi women in economic activities was 17.7 percent, which has now increased to 35.6 percent.

Saudi Minister of Manpower while addressing a discussion in Riyadh Economic Forum 10 said that before the end of this year, 11 important decisions were made regarding Saudization. There was a positive response from the investors and up to 98 percent implemented the Saudization decision.

He said that by the end of this year, the target of recruitment of local people in 11 sectors will be fulfilled.

According to him, the program of payment of salaries through banks has been successful up to 80 percent.

Engineer Ahmed Al-Rajhi also said that the powerful platform is providing 127 services to more than 3 million users and more than 1 million companies.

He further said that the ministry is reviewing the laws these days. Its aim is to improve the labor market.
