The Al-Ala Royal Commission has said that a program of revitalization of the important historical places of Tema Commissionerate has been made. Under this, the historic oasis of Tema, the ancient trade center, the ancient Salam shrine, the Najam market, the Hadaj well and the Al-Raman palace will be revived.

The ancient Salam Synagogue dates back to the 6th BC. It is a stone-built building situated on an ancient lake. Its historical importance is very high.
Tema's Hadaj well is located in the middle of the oasis. In ancient times, local residents and travelers passing through here used to get water from this well.
Tema's Al-Raman Palace was built in 1919. It is named after the ruler of Tema of that period.
Tema Commissionerate is located 200 kilometers north-east of Al-Ula Commissionerate. It has been a very important and ancient trading center on ancient trade routes.
