In the first match of the three-match T20 series between Pakistan and West Indies, Pakistan defeated West Indies by 63 runs.
Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan batted brilliantly and scored 78 while Haider Ali scored 68 while bowlers Mohammad Wasim and Shadab Khan took four wickets each.
In the match played at the National Cricket Stadium in Karachi on Monday, West Indies decided to field after winning the toss against Pakistan while Pakistan scored 200 runs for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated overs.Pakistan initially faced disappointment when the opening batsman and captain Babar Azam were already out for zero in the over.
The other Pakistani to be dismissed was Fakhr Zaman who was dismissed for 10 runs. Mohammad Rizwan played an aggressive innings of 78 runs and was bowled by Smith Shepherd in the 16th over.
Pakistan suffered its fourth loss in the form of Asif Ali who could score only one run while Iftikhar Ahmed was dismissed for seven runs. Haider Ali scored 68 off 39 balls and was dismissed in the last over of the match while Muhammad Nawaz remained unbeaten on 30 off 10 balls.
On the other hand, the first loss of West Indies was in the form of Brandon King's wicket while the second wicket fell to Nicholas Puran who was dismissed by Muhammad Wasim.
Brooks fell victim to Muhammad Wasim in the sixth over. Shy Hope of West Indies scored 31 runs off 26 balls and got LBW on the ball of Shadab Khan.
West Indies' sixth wicket fell in the 12th over when Dominic Drax was caught by Harris Rauf, Roman was bowled out for seventh and Odin Smith was dismissed by Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Romeo Shepherd 21 while Oshane Thomas scored just one run and was bowled by Muhammad Wasim.
