Australia beat England by 146 runs in the fifth Ashes Test to win the series 4-0.
In the day and night Test match played in Hobart, England's batting line could not show any special performance and in the fourth innings, chasing the target of 271 runs, they piled up 124 runs.
Cameron Green, Scott Boland and captain Pat Cummins took three wickets each in the second innings and Mitchell Starc took one wicket in the final innings.Apart from the opening partnership of 68 runs by England, there was no significant performance. England's Zack Crowley was the top scorer with 36 runs.
In the final session on the third day of the Test on Sunday, England started the game with 68 runs and a loss of one player, then David Millan and Zack Crowley added 14 runs.
But Cameron Green bowled Milan for 10 and Crowley for 36. After which England lost three wickets for 83 runs.
Ben Stoke had just scored five runs when he was forced to return to the pavilion by Mitchell Starc. Scot Boland dismissed Root as England scored nine more runs.
English batsman Sam Billings had not even set foot on the wicket when Scott Boland hit him for one run and captain Bat Cummins bowled Oli Pope for five runs.
The other three batsmen of the English team then returned to the pavilion one by one and ensured the victory of Australia.
Earlier in the day, in the second innings, the Australian team was bowled out for 155 runs and gave England a target of 271 runs. Australia's Alex Carey top-scored with 49, while England's Mark Wood took six wickets for Australia.
