Tel Aviv: An Israeli Air Force helicopter crashed shortly after takeoff off the coast, killing two and injuring one.
According to the International News Agency, an Israeli military helicopter crashed into a ground during a training flight, killing two pilots and seriously injuring a crew member.
The man injured in the helicopter crash was an aerial observer who was taken to hospital. The condition of the injured person is said to be critical. The identities of those killed and injured have not been released.
The cause of the accident has not yet been determined. The commanding officer of the Israeli Air Force has ordered an investigation into the incident and has formed an inquiry committee.
The Israeli air force has suspended all training flights following the crash and the use of naval Panther helicopters has also been banned.
