Riyadh  Saudi Arabia's cybercrime expert has warned that sending a 'red heart' sign to someone in the kingdom on WhatsApp will send you to jail. Speaking on a private TV channel Rotana Khalijia's program 'Sidati', Urdu News quoted Muataz Katbi, a member of Saudi Arabia's cybercrime and anti-counterfeiting committee, as saying that on a quotes app, 'Red Sending Hart's logo falls into the category of cybercrime, which carries a penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of 100,000 riyals.


He said that caution should be exercised in posting 'Red Heart' or 'Flower' and other similar signs on social media as sending such signs falls under the category of harassment and most of the people are unaware of the legal details. These symptoms are transmitted by a man or by a woman.

The Saudi cybercrime expert said that if the recipient of such symptoms were harmed in any way, it could become a legal issue, which falls into the category of harassment in cybercrime because harassment is not only physical but also physical. Expressing inappropriate behavior through words, phrases or other means is also considered a crime.

Meanwhile, a call center agent working for a large company in Saudi Arabia has been fired for calling a female Saudi customer 'Ya Habibi' during a phone conversation because the Saudi woman told her husband about the agent's alleged inappropriate words.
