Chittagong: In the first ODI between Afghanistan and Bangladesh, Afif Hussain and Mehdi Hassan formed the second largest partnership for the seventh wicket partnership.
In the match being played at the home ground of Bangladesh, the Afghan team gave the hosts a target of 216 runs in the first ODI. Established a partnership of runs and led the team to victory.
Afif Hussain scored 93 while Mehdi Hassan scored 81. Both innings included 20 fours and a six.
Earlier, on June 9, 2015, Joe Butler and Adil Rashid formed a 177-run partnership for the seventh wicket on English soil.
It should be noted that a series consisting of 3 ODIs and 2 T20 matches is being played between the two countries.
