Expansion in the courtyard of Masjid Nabavi Increase the capacity of 20,000 worshipers

Madinah: After the lifting of the Corona ban, the Saudi government has expanded the courtyards of the Prophet's Mosque to allow more worshipers to worship and visit.

According to the official news agency of Saudi Arabia, the courtyards of the Prophet's Mosque have been expanded, which has created a capacity of 20,000 more worshipers. Thus, 326,429 worshipers will now be able to worship in the Prophet's Mosque.

In this regard, the Governor of Madinah Prince Faisal bin Salman accompanied by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rubayeh visited the Masjid-e-Nabawi and inspected the pedestrian walkways in the courtyards of the Masjid-e-Nabawi and the new western courtyards on Salam Road.

Governor Madinah Munawara urged the administrative officials to provide high quality services to the pilgrims during Ramadan.

It should be noted that since the outbreak of the corona virus in 2020, the number of worshipers was limited due to restrictions imposed on the Kaaba and the Prophet's Mosque, but now worship will be allowed in the holy mosques with full capacity.
