He said that after taking the stakeholders in Pakistan into confidence, it has been decided to hold the knockout stage of the league in England. A large number of Kashmiris live in England and they want to see local players play in England while the purpose of holding matches in England is also to highlight the Kashmir issue globally.

Kashmir Premier League officials are keen to hold the semi-finals and final at Headingley and Edgbaston in England.


It should be noted that during the first season, the England Cricket Board and the South African Cricket Board had barred their players from participating in the league and several foreign players had apologized for not participating in the league due to pressure from the Indian Cricket Board. Û”

The first edition of the Kashmir Premier League was played last year in the city of Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. League matches will also be held in Muzaffarabad this year. However, Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet issued NOC to the league.

According to KPL officials, the NOC of the second edition of Pakistan Cricket Board League will also be released soon.

According to KPL CEO, "The second season of KPL is likely to start in August but no final decision has been taken in this regard."

On the other hand, officials of a Kashmir Premier League franchise told Urdu News on condition of anonymity that "no consultation was held regarding holding the knockout stage of the second edition of KPL in England".

He confirmed that "KPL officials are in England to host the matches and talks are ongoing but the franchises have not been consulted yet."
