US-based Pakistani singer Urooj Aftab has won a Grammy Award for his song 'Mohabbat'.
On Sunday, the Pakistani-American singer was given the award in the category of Best Global Music Performance for her song 'Mohabbat'.
According to the French news agency AFP, the Pakistani-born singer was nominated for the 64th Grammy Awards in November last year.
The 37-year-old singer, who has lived in New York for almost 15 years, is gaining worldwide attention for her work. The rise of Aftab's singing is a combination of Sufism and Jazz.
"I'm very excited, I'm feeling great," Arooj Aftab told reporters.
"I was very nervous all day," he said. We're off to a great start. "
