UAE non-vaccinated persons are allowed to travel abroad

The United Arab Emirates has allowed non-vaccinated citizens to travel abroad since April 19.

The government's decision to allow unvaccinated citizens to travel was announced by the government's National Crisis and Emergency Authority, according to Wam news agency.

It was informed on Thursday that non-vaccinated citizens have to show the negative PCR test report 48 hours before the trip and complete the travel application form on Al-Hassan app so that their status will be green there.

A spokesman for the National Crisis and Emergency Authority, Dr Tahir-ul-Amiri, said: "The new protocol is in line with the UAE's policy of eradicating the epidemic and bringing life back to normal.

Dr. Al-Amiri said that non-vaccinated citizens under the age of 16 are exempted from submitting a negative PCR test report before the trip, but they must adhere to precautionary measures against the Corona epidemic.

The UAE's testing and vaccination campaign has seen a significant reduction in virus infections, with 237 new cases reported on Wednesday and no deaths.

More than 24.6 million doses of the vaccine have so far been given to citizens in the UAE states.

Dr. Al-Amiri said that despite the Corona epidemic entering its recovery phase, precautionary measures should be strictly followed and the use of social distillation and sanitizer along with masks is essential.
