Israeli rocket attack on Damascus kills 3 soldiers

Damascus: Three Israeli soldiers were killed and four others were injured in an Israeli rocket attack south of the Syrian capital, Damascus.

Syria's state-run Sanaa news agency quoted military sources as saying that the rocket attack took place on Friday night and was launched from the Golan Heights, killing three soldiers and wounding four others.

Military sources also said that our air defenses resisted Israeli rockets and managed to shoot down most of them.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the attack targeted Iranian militia bases. The Observatory said three Syrian air defense personnel were killed and four others were injured in the attack.

It should be noted that this is the 13th Israeli attack on the Syrian territories this year. Earlier, on May 13, Israel launched a missile attack that killed five people in central Syria, while a second attack took place near Damascus on April 27, in which 10 people, including six Syrian soldiers, were killed.
