A terrorist blew himself up while being arrested in Jeddah

 Saudi Arabia's Presidency of State Security has said in a statement that a man wearing a suicide vest blew himself up when security forces tried to arrest him in Jeddah.

According to Arab News, it has been said in the statement that the said person, who has been declared a terrorist by the security forces, died on the spot in Al-Samir neighborhood of the city. A Pakistani citizen and three security personnel were injured in the blast.

According to the statement, Abdullah Bin Zayed Abdul Rahman Al Bakri Al Shahri has been identified as a wanted person by authorities in the Kingdom for the past seven years.


Security forces traced the location of the terrorist and launched an operation to arrest him during which he blew himself up.

"This operation confirms the Kingdom's determination to crack down on terrorists and ensure the safety of all citizens and residents," the Presidency of State Security said.
