Argentina Vice President Sentenced to 12 Years for Alleged Corruption

Argentina's Vice President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner was sentenced to 12 years in prison for corruption.

Supporters of Cristina Fernandez gathered outside her house to protest against the sentence, saying that Cristina Fernandez has been subjected to judicial prosecution.

Barricades erected by the police outside the Vice President's house in anticipation of a possible crowd gathering were attempted to be removed by the protesters calling it a provocation by the mayor of the opposition party.

During the attempt to remove the barriers of the protesters, the police used hydrant trucks to disperse the protesters, during which many protesters were injured.

The Vice President of Argentina, Cristina Fernandez, appealed to her protesters to end the protest and said that the protesters should end the protest and go home peacefully.

It should be noted that 14 police officers were injured in clashes between supporters of the vice president and the police yesterday.
