BENGALURU: The Muslim Waqf Board has stopped the efforts to organize a ten-day fair of the Hindu festival Ganesh Chaturthi at the famous Eidgah in the Indian state of Karnataka.
According to Indian media, the Supreme Court heard a case filed by the Karnataka Muslim Waqf Board against the organization of Ganesha festival celebrations at Bangalore's Eid Gah.The Attorney General told the court that the High Court of Karnataka and the government have allowed two days for the festival celebrations of Lord Ganesha at the Eidgah even though the festival lasts for 10 days.
