Geneva: The Special Representative of Human Rights in the United Nations has said that Uighurs of China, Dalits of India, domestic workers of Gulf countries, Brazil and Colombia are a form of slavery in the modern world.
According to the World News Agency, the United Nations Special Representative for Human Rights, Tomoya Obokata, has revealed in his report that slavery still exists in its new form in the world today.

The report specifically mentions the Dalits, considered to be India's lowest caste, who are not only socially boycotted, but also locked out of jobs and educational institutions.
The report further states that cases of traditional enslavement of minorities are also mentioned in Mauritania, Mali, Niger and the Sahel region of Africa, while Gulf countries, Brazil and Colombia are also specifically mentioned. .
The report of the United Nations has presented alarming figures regarding the forced labor of children. Asia and the Pacific, the Middle East, America and Europe accounted for 4 to 6 percent, Africa accounted for 21.6 percent, while the highest incidence occurred in sub-Saharan Africa at 23.9 percent.
Mentioning sexual slavery in the report, it is said that its trend in humanitarian crisis areas is disturbing.
