Engineer Fahad Al-Jubeir, Mayor of Al-Sharqiya Region, has said that with the cooperation of Public Transport Authority, Al-Jubeel Royal Commission, Coast Guards and Al-Ahsa Municipality, a sea tourism and travel program has been started.
Al-Jubeir pointed out that the maritime shipping program is very encouraging for investors. The government is trying to ensure that those who want to come forward to invest in this field are qualified and their projects are of quality. Preparations have been started in this regard.
It should be noted that more than 2 million people will be able to benefit from the sea transport project in the eastern region annually.
Thanks to this project, 13 thousand people will get employment. There will be seven tracks of sea transport. These will facilitate sea transport to Al Jabal coast, Ras Tanora, Darien, Dammam, Cornish Al Khobar and Al Uqair.
