What are the guidelines for students in the new academic year in the Emirates?

 In the United Arab Emirates, new guidelines have been issued regarding the new academic year 2023-2022 regarding the Corona epidemic.

  

According to Emirates Al-Youm, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Hiza Al-Mansoori, has said that a new protocol will be implemented in educational institutions for the new academic year.

Students aged 12 years and above as well as academic and administrative staff have to submit the PCR test report. The sample is taken within 96 hours from the first day of the academic year. After that, PCR test will be asked from the students and the administrative and academic staff will not be made to do it.

The UAE Ministry of Education has maintained the ban on masks for students in educational institutions while canceling the ban on social distancing in schools and buses. Temperature of students and staff will also not be checked.

The Ministry has maintained the ban that any student or staff member who feels elevated temperature should not visit the educational institution. Sick leave must be taken for this.

The Ministry of Education has maintained the facility of online education and duty for the students and staff affected by the corona virus. This facility will also be provided to such students and employees who are suffering from respiratory disorders. This facility will remain until the medical test.

The Ministry of Education says that the corona test will be taken only if the symptoms are visible. The emirate has allowed all students to attend schools. This permission will also be given to those students who have not taken the vaccine due to health reasons or exemption from the vaccine.

Al-Mansoori said that the new academic year is starting from next week. More than 1 million students and 65 thousand academic staff will be part of the new academic year.
