Can Iqama holders from Gulf countries get a tourist visa?

 The Ministry of Tourism has announced changes in the tourist visa regulations for the Kingdom. Under the new regulations, Iqama holders residing in Gulf countries will also be able to obtain tourist visas online.

According to newspaper 24, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khatib has approved the amendment of tourist visa regulations, according to which Iqama holders living in Gulf countries will also be able to get the tourist visa of the country online. The period of stay of foreigners living in Gulf countries must be more than three months.

It should be noted that the Saudi Ministry of Tourism has an online tourist visa facility for citizens of 49 countries. Additionally, US, UK or Shenzhen visa holders or residents can also apply for a tourist visa on arrival or online.

For European visa holders, it is important that their European visa has not expired while obtaining a Saudi Arabia tourist visa. Also, they have traveled to these countries at least once on this visa.

The Ministry of Tourism has further said that those who come on tourist visa can perform Umrah but not Hajj. Visitors on tourist visas must abide by the laws of the country and carry their identification documents with them.
