American technology company Apple has launched new iPhone models. Four variants of the new phone have been introduced.
Hundreds of people lined up since Friday morning to get their hands on the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in the UAE.
According to Emirates News Agency, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, especially the Dubai Mall, saw a high demand for the new iPhone model.
The first to get an iPhone 14 at the Dubai Mall on Friday is Abdul Rafiq, an Indian who is an IT supervisor at a media firm in Dubai. "He was in line since four in the morning," he says.
Osama Azhar, another Asian national, was at the Dubai Mall to buy a new model for his family of ten. "My whole family is crazy about Apple products," he says. I'm buying the iPhone 14 for all of them.
According to the report, different versions of the iPhone 14 were sold out within 45 minutes of the sale starting at the Apple Store in Dubai Mall.
Apple has launched the iPhone 14 in the UAE at AED 3,399, iPhone 14 Plus at AED 3,799, iPhone 14 Pro at AED 4,299 and iPhone Pro Max at AED 4,699.
According to news agency Reuters, the iPhone 14 was introduced in two sizes, namely the regular iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus with a larger screen or display.
The new phone also features emergency satellite connectivity and car crash detection technology.
