Iran seized a foreign oil smuggling ship

Iran's navy has seized a foreign-registered ship that it says was smuggling fuel in the Gulf, and arrested its crew.

According to the AFP news agency, Iran's state media published the report on Saturday, citing the official broadcaster's website.

The report states that a foreign ship carrying 757,000 liters of smuggled fuel has been captured, according to the commander of the Maritime Forces of the Revolutionary Guards.

Iranian Navy General Ramzan Zarahi has said that seven crew members of the ship have been arrested, all of whom are foreigners, but their identities have not been clarified.

After the arrest of all the crew members of the ship, they have been handed over to the judicial authorities.

General Ramadan has said that a cargo ship loaded with millions of liters of oil, which was meant to deliver oil to other countries, has been seized 60 miles off the coast of Iran.

It should be noted that the lowest price of petrol in the world is in Iran and this is the reason why smuggling oil from here to other countries is considered a profitable business.

Iran has taken steps to thwart several fuel smuggling attempts in the Gulf in recent months. There is a large amount of oil in Iran which is tried to be smuggled to other countries of the world.
