One and a half million electric vehicles will be provided for Saudi citizens

 Saudi authorities are pursuing a policy of developing electric vehicles in the kingdom to implement Vision 2030.

According to Akaz newspaper, Minister of Investment Engineer Khaled Al-Falih has said that the latest electric vehicles will be assembled in Saudi Arabia and direct investment in this sector will be emphasized.

He said that in the near future, the latest electric vehicles will be seen in large numbers.

Khalid al-Falih said that three factories will be established in Saudi Arabia to assemble electric vehicles.

The Minister of Investment said that Saudi Arabia is planning to enter the world of electric vehicle industry through these three factories in the next ten years. Lucid Motors Company of America will establish the first factory. One and a half lakh vehicles will be manufactured here annually.

It should be remembered that the Saudi Minister of Industry and Minerals, Bandar Al Kharif, while inaugurating the Lucid factory, said that before 2030, the factory has set a target of producing 300,000 vehicles annually.
