In Saudi Arabia, the Department of Education in Riyadh has for the first time appointed women as heads of three educational institutions.
The three Saudi women will head the supervisory bodies of the schools of male and female students.

The Director General has also appointed 45 Assistant Heads of Educational Affairs Institutions. Among them are women.
Fifteen new assistant heads of support services departments have been appointed in all educational institutions while fifteen new directors of education offices have been appointed.
Yasir Ilyabs, Director of the Teachers' Affairs Institute, said that the Director General has appointed 1383 supervisors in the education offices. New responsibilities have been assigned to the teachers.
