The e-Government of the United Arab Emirates has said that a private sector employee studying in an approved educational institution of the state will get ten days leave in a year with salary.
This holiday will be for exams. Leave will be given to employees who have completed two years of service.

According to UAE federal law, a private sector worker will be given five days of paid childcare leave. This leave can be taken from the date of birth of the child till the age of six months.
A local citizen is also entitled to leave as per the prevailing law of the state for performing national service equally.
Women employed in private sector companies are entitled to 60 days maternity leave, the first 45 days of which shall be on regular pay and the remaining 15 days on half pay. For this the female employee has to produce an approved medical certificate.
