He said that "I am sure that Saudi Arabia, UAE and the entire Gulf Cooperation Council will actively contribute to the establishment of peace in their neighborhood because Syria, Libya, Yemen and other countries are located near them."

He told Arab News that "I think the people of Syria, Libya and Yemen have already faced a lot of problems and I appeal to everyone to solve the problems together."

The General Secretary of the United Nations also expressed the hope that the GCC countries with large production capacity will play a role in ending the energy crisis in the world.

With reference to the latest situation in Libya, he said that 'ceasefire is not in sight'.

He further said that "at this time it is difficult to determine which is the biggest problem that should be addressed first, but everyone's effort should be to work for the establishment of peace."
