Russia vetoed the resolution against the annexation of 4 regions of Ukraine

 New York: Russia has vetoed the UN Security Council resolution against the annexation of 4 Ukrainian regions.

According to foreign media, the United States presented a resolution to the United Nations Security Council against Russia's annexation of 4 regions of Ukraine, which was vetoed by Russia.

The resolution condemned Russia's move and stressed the non-recognition of changes in Ukraine's borders. The resolution also demanded that Russia withdraw from Ukraine by February 24.

10 of the 15 member countries of the Security Council voted in favor of the resolution while 4 countries were absent. Absent countries included China, Brazil, India and Gabon. The Russian President announced the annexation of Ukraine's Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions to Russia.
