School shooting in Russia, 6 people killed, 20 injured

The Russian media said with reference to the Ministry of Interior that 6 people were killed and 20 were injured in the shooting incident in the Russian city of Ethivex.

According to media reports, the police and security officials reached the spot and surrounded the school after receiving information about the firing. The assailant shot himself when the police arrived.

The nearby area of the school has been cordoned off and the injured and bodies have been shifted to the hospital. Officials have expressed fear of an increase in casualties.
