Storm and torrential rain in Canada, state of emergency in various areas

 A state of emergency has been imposed in various areas in Canada's eastern regions due to storms and torrential rain, while millions of homes are without power.

Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Quebec's Magdalen Islands are affected by Cyclone Phi Ona.

In some areas, the wind speed reached hundreds of kilometers per hour, which uprooted trees and damaged roofs of houses and shops in business areas.

Evacuation has also been ordered in some places, a woman has also been confirmed missing in the coastal area.

More severe weather is forecast in Atlantic Canada and southern Quebec.
