Welcome to the move to allow oil tankers to go to Hudaydah port

Saudi Arabia has welcomed the move by Yemen's constitutional government to allow oil tankers to visit Hodeida port.

It was requested by the United Nations. Legal proceedings will be completed in accordance with the procedures laid down by the United Nations.

According to the official news agency SPA, the Saudi Foreign Office has said in a statement that "Saudi Arabia wants to make the cease-fire agreement under the supervision of the United Nations a success."

"Saudi Arabia completely rejects the Houthis taking undue advantage of the flexible attitude of the international community and the peace coalition." The Houthis are showing stubbornness and violating the ceasefire agreement.

The statement said that "since December 2019, it was agreed that Al-Hudaydah port should be opened for oil tankers, but the Houthis are rejecting it and they want to start a war again." They are looking to thwart the agreement reached under the supervision of the United Nations.

The Foreign Office said in a statement that "Saudi Arabia welcomes the decision of the constitutional government of Yemen, under which the government has allowed ships to visit the port of Hodeidah and has been exempted from the restriction of the prescribed procedures in order to improve the humanitarian situation." Also, the UN envoy for Yemen could be successful in his efforts to reach a political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
