The Saudi Customs, Zakat and Tax Authority says that there are rules for importing old spare parts of vehicles from abroad which must be followed.

The customs authority says that 'before importing old and used parts, care should be taken that the parts being imported are properly reconditioned'.
The parts used should not be in bad condition, the parts should be clean and not contaminated with oil and grease. There should be certificates for the parts to be imported showing the date of reconditioning.
The authority further said that 'used parts which are allowed to be imported include reconditioned gearboxes, body, differential and engine of vehicles'.
