Bangladesh: 9 people killed by rains and typhoon, millions homeless

 9 people were killed in various accidents and millions of people were displaced due to the impact of the cyclone in Bangladesh.

According to foreign media, there were heavy rains and landslides due to the cyclone in South Bangladesh, under which 9 people lost their lives.

Authorities say most of the deaths were caused by falling trees and efforts are underway to evacuate lakhs of people to safer places.

Bangladesh's Ministry of Disaster Management said that citizens from low-lying areas have been evacuated while those living along the river have been sheltered in a cyclone shelter building.

On the other hand, there is a flood situation in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, where 324 mm of rain was recorded on Monday.
