Britain's King Charles will be crowned in May next year

 LONDON: Britain's new king, Charles III, will be crowned on May 6 next year, and the ceremony will also see innovation as opposed to tradition.

According to the world news agency, Buckingham Palace has announced that the coronation ceremony of the 73-year-old King Charles III will be held in London's Westminster Abbey on May 6, 2023.

The statement said that this time the coronation ceremony will reflect the 900-year-old historical traditions of the monarchy as well as its modern character.

Queen Consort Camilla, 75, wife of King Charles III, will also be crowned, the statement added.
