New Zealand will face Pakistan in the final of the tri-series on October 14.
In pursuit of this target, the Bangladesh team could score only 160 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
For New Zealand, Dion Conway scored 64 off 40 balls and Glenn Phillips scored 60 off 24 balls.
Chasing this mountain-like target, none of the batsmen except Bangladeshi skipper Shakib Al Hasan could face New Zealand's bowling attack. Shakibul Hasan scored 70 runs off 44 balls.
On behalf of New Zealand, fast bowler Adam Milne dismissed three players for 24 runs in four overs, while Michael Bracewell and Tim Southee took two wickets each.
Bangladesh are yet to win a match in the tri-nation tournament and are out of the tournament after losing to New Zealand. On Thursday, the Bengal Tigers will face Pakistan at the same ground in Christchurch, but this match will not affect the final on Friday.
