New temple in Dubai opened for Hindu community

 A newly constructed temple in Dubai has been opened to the Hindu community.

According to Arab News, the doors of the temple were opened to the Hindu community after a ceremony on Tuesday.

According to a report published in Khaleej Times, the newly constructed Hindu temple was inaugurated by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Harmony and Coexistence (Tolerance) of the Emirates by lighting a lamp.

A new temple has been built in Jebel Ali, which is also locally known as the 'village of pilgrims'.

The village already has nine places of worship, including seven churches, the Guru Nanak Darbar and the Sikh Gurdwara.

200 people, including India's ambassador to the UAE, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the temple.

The event's participants included government officials, religious leaders and members of the Indian community living in the emirate.
