The target for this year was set at five lakh which was achieved three months back and now efforts are being made to increase this number to six and a half lakh by the end of the year.

According to the data of the Ministry, the highest number of Pakistani workers got jobs in Saudi Arabia, whose number is more than 321 thousand, while UAE 88 thousand, Oman 56 thousand, Qatar 36 thousand and Bahrain 10 thousand. Provided job opportunities to more than Pakistani workers.

This is the first time after the year 2019 that the number of Pakistanis going abroad has not only exceeded three lakh, but by the end of the year, if this number exceeds six lakh, this limit will be crossed after three years. .

The largest number of people going abroad from Pakistan was in 2015 when 946 thousand people went abroad. After that, this trend started to decrease and in the year 2019 it reached 625 thousand. When Corona took over the world, the number remained less than 300,000 for two years.

During this time, nearly three lakh Pakistanis returned home after becoming unemployed. More than 95 thousand of them also registered themselves with Overseas Employment to ensure employment for them in Pakistan.

According to the officials of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, a large number of those who returned to their homeland due to Corona have returned and even now if anyone wants to go, there are employment opportunities for him.

EOBI has 135,000 job vacancies and the recruitment process is going on. The majority of the jobs currently available are for professional workers and most are from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
